Green River is located in Emery and Grand Counties, Utah. Green River is situated along I-70 in east central Utah, 45 miles northwest of Arches National Park and 60 miles northwest of Canyonlands. The name of the city comes from the Green River. Green River has a perfect geographical position, being located near wonderful scenery, world-class rafting, dinosaur fossils, amazing fishing places and Native American rock art panels. Green River is famous for its watermelons. Locals say that they are the best in the world.
